NAPAAC BMF Board

​As a consortium of leading Academic Institutions and Children’s Hospitals, NAPAAC hosts a case conference in the area of bone marrow failure, the NAPAAC BMF Board. During our monthly video conference calls, NAPAAC members discuss a broad range of challenging cases across the entire spectrum of pediatric bone marrow failure. Our aim is to share expert opinion and guidance for diagnostics and treatment among participating members and institutions.

Hosted by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, cases are submitted by members ahead of time. Clinical presentation and salient data from the existing work-up are typically summarized in a brief case introduction by the submitting provider followed by a 20-30 minute in -depth discussion. Averaging ~30 call participants nationwide, the group provides deep expertise in hematology, stem cell transplantation, pathology, genetics and genome diagnostics.
